Making the decision to get to know her father's family she moved across country to Crossroads Pennsylvania. She was a licensed midwife in San Francisco and saw very little of her Father. However he had another family with his new wife and Fiona felt out of place and unwanted.Īfter college Fiona went out in the world on her own. He sent her off to live in foster home after foster home until years later after he remarried he bought his daughter home once again.

I usually start a series by reading book one but years ago I bought this book used and it's been waiting for me to read it since then.įiona Flanagan never got to know her mother ,who died shortly after her baby girl was born. It's book 6 of The Flanagans series by Marta Perry. I would highly recommend it to my reader friends -) I found this book to be inspirational~~full of hope and faith. The people she meets and the experiences she has in this new town will definetly have a major impact on her life and will change her life forever. She does not realize how connected to the "Amish" culture and community she really is. This name of this town is soo fitting because Fionna does find herself in crossroads in her own life. She settles into an primarily Amish community called Crossroads. Little does she know what she has in store for her when she arrives in this new town. She decides to leave her home in California and set down new roots and a new mid-wife private practice in Pennsylvania.
The main character, Fiona Flanagan has been brought up in the "English" world. Yes, it does have some "Amish" in it, but it is a mix between the "Amish" and "English" worlds.
This edition of the book was published by arrangement by Steeple Hill Books. This book is a Love Inspired book and was originally copyrighted in 2007 by Martha Johnson, then copyrighted in 2008 by Harlequin Books. I recently finished reading Marta Perry's book, "Restless Hearts".
